EGO-Edging God Out

Revelation 3:1-6
"To the angel (messanger) of the church in Sardis write:

These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits (7 is the compleate number) of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive but you are dead."

Do you hit the "snooze" botton when it comes to God? Aaron and I admit we do this at times, this message really spook to us and we are working on it not only together but also alone.
WE WILL ELIMANATE EGO!!!!

"Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your deeds compleate in the sight of my God. Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; obey it, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and will not know at what time I will come to you.
Yet you have a few people in Sardis who have not spoiled their clothes. They will walk with me, dressed in white, for they are worthy. He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and His angels. He eho has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."

How do we go against the flow of others?

Do you consider your self...
A person who thinks culture is move importent then church?

Or a person that seperates church life from culture life?

Or a person that is like a boulder in a river of culture and you stand strong?

Other verses to look into:
John 1:14, 1 Peter 1:16, 1 Thessalonians 4:3

Here is our chruch service on this topic. Please watch, enjoy and deside which type of person you are.

Need to vent

Man it is a good thing we love our children. TJ has become so much of a whiner. He is whining about EVERYTHING. like just now, TJ went to the bathroom and Aaron asked him if he washed his hands. TJ in a whining voice said no I dont want to. So Aaron told him you need to wash your hands after you go to the bathroom cause you could get sick if you dont. TJ argues with Aaron and throughs a fit. Aaron and I have talked about punishments for TJ and time out wasnt working we dont spank so we decited TJ will write sentences for a punishment. It will also help him in writing and spelling. So today he is writing the sentences " I will not talk back." and also " I will wash my hands after I go to the bathroom."
we started this punishment last night after TJ kicked Aaron in the head. Last night he had to write "I will not kick." and "I am sorry daddy." took him one hour. Because we have to write the sentance and then the lines for him to trace over and if he doesnt trace the lines correctly we erase it and he has to do it again. I had to erase 7 times last night.
It seems to be working so far. He for sure does not like it. He cried every time I had to erase.
On another note, aaron has court tomorrow for his disablity. The lawyer is going to ask the judge to pay for further testing on Aaron and the cyst to compare to test results done in 2004. We will update everyone once we know whats happening.

We Will...Passionately Love Jesus

Revelation 2:1-7
Are you still in love with Jesus???
Recapture the love with for Jesus by (Revelation 2:5) First, Remember how it was when you where in love with Jesus. then Repent for the wrong you have done. Then finally Do the things you did at first.

Having a love for Jesus is an amazing feeling and can do amazing things for you. It has brought Aaron and I even closer then we were before. Also it has help heal family relationships in Megan's family. We want everyone we love and know to have a love affair with Jesus. It will change your life.

this video below is our actual church the day we talked about this. Please watch and enjoy.

Got Pride

In church today we talked about pride, Ego (Edging God Out) and being dead in religion.

Revelation 3:1-6
God wrote a letter to the church in Sardis. Telling them they are dead and giving them a wake up call. Telling them to wake up obey and repent or He will be like a thief and He will come and rob them.

Our question of the day was, Do we snooze God?

"Pride: I am a Cheater"
By Beth Moore
Praying God's Word

My name is Pride. I am a cheater.
I cheat you of your God-given destiny…because
you demand your own way.
I cheat you of contentment…because you
“deserve better than this.”

I cheat you of knowledge…because you already
know it all.

I cheat you of healing…because you’re
too full of me to forgive.

I cheat you of holiness…because you refuse to
admit when you’re wrong.

I cheat you of vision…because you’d rather look
in the mirror than out a window.

I cheat you of a genuine friendship…because
nobody’s going to know the real you.

I cheat you of love…because real romance
demands sacrifice.

I cheat you of greatness in heaven…because you
refuse to wash another’s feet on earth.

I cheat you of God’s glory…because I convince
you to seek your own.

My name is Pride. I am a cheater.

You like me because you think I’m always looking out for you.
Untrue. I’m looking to make a fool of you.
God has so much for you, I admit, but don’t worry…
If you stick with me
You’ll never know.

In his pride the wicked does not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God.
Psalm 10:4

Our lives as of today

OK update on us. TJ jus turned 4 on 08-05-2010, he had a Buzz and Woddy birthday party. We went swimming and had hot dogs. It was a good turn out. TJ got spoiled like crazy LOL. I will post pics soon. I am uploading them and will make a slide show of them. There is 100 photos.
Also Aaron has his disiblity SSI Hearing coming up next week on September 15th. So we are hopping we get approved and he starts getting the money he deserves. We will update once we get the news.
As for myself, Megan, I have been really sick. I went to tons of doctors and a few times to the ER turns out I have ovarian cysts. When they first found them it was three. One on the left and two on the right. Now it is one on the left that is 5.23 CM and the two on the right has turned into one big one that is 4.53 CM. So I am getting them removed on September 29th. I might lose my left ovary. I am alittle scarried and worried but I need to take care of them before I get worse. So prays in my favor would be greatful and thanked.
I will update more soon once some things happen. Till then God Bless and we love you all.

Love Always Wins

John 13:34 "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another"

"You can choose to embrace the faith that overcomes fear and experience the peace of God in every area of your life."-unknown-

1 John 4:16-18

"And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgement, because in this world we are like him. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love."

Love is said 7 times in 3 verses. This makes it clear that fear and love cannot coexist. By having an unhealthy fear of God, we lessen our ability to love Him and experience His love. Which affects our ability to love others.
In what ways is love foundational to you and your faith???

For Aaron and I love is a big factor, in our relationship with each other, others and God. Without love we are empty. How can one not love God? The God that made you in His image. The God that loved us so much that he sent His only son to save us. without Him and His love we would be empty and worthless.
Love is our middle stone in our foundation, with our faith.
