1 John 4:16-18
"And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgement, because in this world we are like him. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love."Love is said 7 times in 3 verses. This makes it clear that fear and love cannot coexist. By having an unhealthy fear of God, we lessen our ability to love Him and experience His love. Which affects our ability to love others.
In what ways is love foundational to you and your faith???
For Aaron and I love is a big factor, in our relationship with each other, others and God. Without love we are empty. How can one not love God? The God that made you in His image. The God that loved us so much that he sent His only son to save us. without Him and His love we would be empty and worthless.
Love is our middle stone in our foundation, with our faith.
